Hoka One One
Seriously, I have some of the flat-est feet you'd ever see. Buying shoes was always about what looked good and never really cared if they hurt my feet or not because its not like I could help it. When this opportunity came up with Hoka One One, I was a little skeptical because ill be honest, its not a shoe that would have caught my eye in a shoe store. But then my contact offered to send over a second pair for Tori, how could I say no?!
The shoes came in and we were pretty stoked to try 'em out. Wasn't a huge fan of the color palette but once we put these babies on...like standing on clouds. Although the midsole looks a bit Lebron high-top clunky, I swear its filled with fresh air from the Swiss Alps. Super lightweight and really added some killer cushioning that I haven't felt in a shoe before. The toe cap is super solid (Im a violent toe dragger) and the outer shell is pretty form fitting, true to size. Majority of the time I feel like I need to break shoes in, but these felt perfect, first try.
Im not being biased and trying to give a fully honest review of these shoes. I used to be a devoted fan of the Nike Roshe's and thought those were the most comfortable shoe. That shoe took 2nd place once I tried on some of the Adidas NMD Primeknits. While the Roshes are pretty sleek for running, it doesn't provide too much support at all. The Primeknits are super comfy and provide some stable support, and I really like the look and feel. I would put these Hoka One One shoes somewhere in the middle of usability and comfort. Might even wear these on a casual Friday to make a quick getaway for the gym after work.
